The 7th edition of the BNIX Networking Event will take place in the Museum of Natural Sciences, located in Brussels (Rue Vautier 29) during the evening of Thursday 29th of September 2016.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the BNIX (Belgian National Internet eXchange), the Belgian Internet node, a more festive BNIX Networking Event than other years was organized

Our third derde BNIX Networking Event took place on thursday 12th of October 2012 at the Atomium. This event was a unique occasion to listen to Cable & Wireless, Verixi and IX Reach' presentations and so make new intersting contacts during the walking dinner.
As of the first of January 2017, rates of the 1G and 10G ports are reduced for all BNIX Participants.
This new price reduction should motivate them to increase the capacity of their interconnection to BNIX.
Moreover, 100 Gbit/s ports are now available!

Concerning possible electricity shortages this winter, we have obtained firm information about the effect of the power cuts plan, although it remains subject to change.

Brussels, 9 June 2011 – BNIX, the Belgian National Internet eXchange, is lowering its rates for new and existing participants.
This Tuesday morning 8th of February, BNIX performed a scheduled maintenance on its platform. With this intervention we have doubled the BNIX backbone capacity! BNIX has now a backbone capacity of 40Gbps. By using diverse paths we have also increased the redundancy.
BNIX, the Belgian Internet exchange, ready to provide four times more capacity and five times more speed.
